Greg-RedfernChairman

Greg started his Masonic career 39 years ago in Sydney at Lodge Wybalena (now part of Lodge Epping No.390) and has been an active Mason most of that time. His business career took him overseas for 12 years during which time he also joined Lodges in England and Zambia.

Returning home to Australia, Greg spent three years in the chair of his Lodge.

In Grand Lodge, Greg has been part of the Audit and Finance Committee since 2003, Deputy Grand Treasurer since 2005and joined the masoniCare Board in 2004.

“I am immensely proud to be Chairman of masoniCare as I see charity as a vital component of being a Mason and the future success of Freemasonry. My intention is to develop stronger links between Lodges, their members, and masoniCare and together, to push the awareness of Freemason’s charitable activities out into the community. Vital to those goals is building our fundraising capability, our attention to benevolence within the Craft, and our capacity to respond to natural disasters in a considered and meaningful way. Good communication is so important and my intention is to lift the two way flow with masoniCare. I look forward to the challengers and know I have the support of a dedicated Board”.

Today, Greg is semi-retired and continues to have a passion for four-wheel driving having recently vacated the Presidency of the NSW and the ACT Four Wheel Drive Association. Greg and his wife Jennie met through their scouting activities and both retain their love of the outdoors. They have two children, their daughter Jane lives in England and son Keith here in Australia.
